Watchmen

The movie is one of the strangest I have seen.  If you are expecting a typical superhero movie, be ready to be caught unexpected. This is nothing like the Fantastic 4 movie. The theme is based on the background of the Cold War, where world is expecting to be ended in a nuclear war in the 80's. There were these old school superheroes from the 40's that formed a team then, now they are living their individual dormant lives. Suddenly one of the erstwhile superhero is murdered and then slowly the others recollect. Eventually, the straight men amongst the team gear up for some action and they are on a mission to identify the killer. The cold war keeps running in the background as a part of the parallel story. After some chain of events, the climax is reached where it is discovered that there is a sinister yet necessary evil plan plotted by a section of the old team to restore peace. In between all this, there are thousands of abstract scenes and events. This is a good watch but recommended to be viewed individually and NOT with women; girls would not like the gore and abstractness.
