Glory Road

Based on the true story of how just an ordinary college team from Texas goes all the way to bring in the greatest upset in NCAA history, this is one hell of a watch. Set in the background of 60's when the coloured players were not as part of the basketball we know today, this movie highlights the hugely important tournament that helped generation of basketball players from the minorities to the pinnacle of glory. The Texas Western College recruits a new coach for the team which is in tatters and it's this coach who expresses his desire to bring in coloured players into the team. The management is sceptical initially but lets him go his way. Upsets after upsets, Texas fights the humiliation and immense racism and wins the tournament. Emotional as it can get and inspirational at the same time, a lovely movie to watch.
